how to be happy in 10 seconds or less by stayathomesusie.comI have a confession to make. I let negativity get me down sometimes. Feeling like a victim is one of my flaws. Now, I’ve come a long way in the past few years but today this video spoke to me.

What is the key to happiness?

We all have the choice; the free will we have to be grateful.

I came across this video and I could not pass it by with out sharing it. Brother David Steindl-Rast, teaches us that every single moment in our life is an opportunity. We can be happy in the response to an event or we can be upset.  In the richness of life, we need to be aware of each moment.

I love how he talks about when we are kids learning to cross the street we learn to STOP, LOOK and then GO.

That’s it. That is the blueprint.

Step 1: STOP moving through life so dang fast.

Step 2: LOOK around at all the gifts you have in the moment.

Step 3: GO and do something about this wonderful life. Enjoy it or change it for the better.

Be aware of the present moment. When we are grateful, we are not afraid or thinking about scarcity. Gratefulness is a high energy feeling! In life we need to STOP more and LOOK around. It’s true! As simply silly as it sounds all we have to do is look around. Be in the moment and be in a place of gratitude that the moments we have are gifts.

There you have it.

You know how to be happy now. Whether you take action it totally up to you. You can throw your arms up and say, “Screw it, this doesn’t apply to me”. Or you can take this blueprint and change the world. It’s up to you!
